What does the consultant do on job evaluation?
Steve Traynor is the consultant you will be managing the process of Job Evaluation at Fylde Borough Council and he is responsible for providing all the training, support and advice to employees as well integrating all the outcomes to an independent scoring system and sitting on the Appeals Panel.
Steve started work in local government at Wyre Borough Council in 1976 and moved to Kirklees and Blackburn before becoming Human Resource Manager at Pendle Borough Council in 1990 until 2006. He has managed the GLPC job evaluation scheme for over fifteen years at Pendle and more recently supported other organisations to successfully implement the scheme.
Steve has now moved on from Pendle in 2006 and now works as a self employed HR Consultant providing support to local authorities on HR policy and strategy and in particular specialises on delivery of practical solutions to job evaluation.
