Who does the job evaluations?

The process will require and rely on direct involvement from a cross-section of volunteer staff from all levels in the council and including Trade Union representatives. Volunteers will be engaged on either an Employee Forum or as members of an Evaluation Panel. It is the Evaluation Panel that will evaluate the job description. The panel will be given comprehensive training on how to apply the criteria and scoring system. There are a series of checks and balances built into the process to ensure integrity, equality, consistency and fairness across the evaluation process.

Involvement in the Evaluation Panels and Employee Forum offers an exciting opportunity for employees to be fully engaged in the process that has an impact on everyone.

This method means that the people you work with and the people that are also having their posts evaluated are engaged in the process. Evaluation Panels CANNOT evaluate the post of any individual on the panel.
